lb
' KLEINFELDER
For the purpose of our nitrate loading calculation we have estimated the average
waste/sewage flow per week for the project site as follows:
290 person seating capacity x 10 gal/person x%2-days)
+ (50 people/-week x 10 gal/person) + (300 gallday for L 8 400 allweek
existing home x 7 days)
3. PRESENT AND PAST USE
The majority of the r ,, ..J--f-
I y project site Is currently In the grading phaseof construction with the
existing single-family residence located at the northeast corner of the property. No
other structures are known to have existed on the parcel at this time. Based on a
historical aerial photograph review and a review of USGS maps, it appears that, the
site has consisted of a fallow field area and the existing residential structure for many
t years. We saw no evidence that the site has been used as a dairy. We know of no
other past uses of the site at this time.
F1 4. SEPTIC PERMITS AND PERFORMANCE
SSS
SJCEHD fil re searched to identify septic permits atm rc ss in the project vicinity.
There wer Jnoermits on file for the subject parce even (7)ppermits were reviewed
for parcels ed adjacent to or near the subjectpperty!—These permits were for
new installations and repairs/additions to existing septic systems. The permitted AD ,
sewage disposal systems were for conventional septiclleach,-f-isyste sr A'
summary of information obtained from the permits is presented i n Plate , an copies
of the permits are attached.
5. FIELD INVESTIGATION
In order to evaluate the subsurface conditions at the project site on May 17 2006 n
p 1 y , o e
soil profile boring was drilled within the proposed leach field area to a depth of about V5
15 feet below existing site grade. The boring was drilled using a Simco 2400 truck- l
-x mounted drill rig equip ed. 6-inch O.D. solid-stem auger. The approximate boring
location is presented n Plate2 A representative with our firm maintained a log of the
1 boring and visually ctprented
dWthe soils encountered according to the Unified--Soil
Classification System (slate 4). A ked a Log of Boring is presented oand the Lo of Borin isg g ates 1L5
Following completion of the soil profile boring, a percoion test h .e P-1 as drilled
within the proposed leach field area at a depth of abou 3.2 feet-beo, grade. The
approximate percolation test hole location is present( Plate 2. Following drilling,
the sides of the test hole was scored, and significant loose rnatewas removed from h
the 4ottpm of the hole. The percolation.test hole was then prepared; y 'rst placing
F1 abo t 2 i rhes of fine gravel at the bottom of the hole and installing a 4-in diameter,
71324.G0115T06R648 June 19,2006
O 2006 Kleinfelder,Inc.
