San Joaquin
Stockton, CA 5202
re: Monitoring Wells for the City of Lodi, Wastewater Reclamation Facility
Dear Mr. Oliveira:
As we discussed, the City of Lodi is required by the Central Valley Regional Water
Quality Control Board to install to additional monitoring wells on its wastewater
reclamation land. These locations and proposed well construction have been approved by
the Regional Board. The contact there is Ms Patricia Leary. Enclosed are the report to
the Regional Board, a signed authorization for me to sign for the well driller, B&F
Drilling, and a letter from Ms Leary commenting on our project design. As you requested,
we have changed the standard well design to provide for 5 feet of grout rather than the
one foot grout previously used.
The wells are 20 feet deep, 2-inch diameter PVC with the bottom 10 feet screened with
.020 inch openings. The well will be sealed with grout from the surface to 5 feet, and
bentonite pellets from 5 feet to 10 feet. The screened section will be completed with 2/12
Lonestar sand from 10 feet to 20 feet. The well will be completed with a locking cover on
a 30-inch high, 6-inch steel pipe.
If you have any questions, please call me. We will give you at least 48 hours notice before
installing the wells. Thank you for your assistance on this project.
Sinc 71e7l
Dan 'nrichs, .E.
DJH Engineering • 4541 Luneman Road • Placerville, CA 95667 • (916)626-4802• FAX (916) 626-9427
