$TATE'OF CA;IFORNIA- ENVIRONMENTAL PROTE N AGENCY PETE WILSON, Governor
CALJFORNIA REGIONAL WATER QUALITY CONTROL BOARD—
CENTRAL VALLEY REGION
3443 ROUTIER ROAD, SUITE A -
SACRAMENTO, CA 95627-3096
PHONE: (916) 255-3000
FAX: (916) 255-3015
3 February 1994
Mr. Fran Forkas
Water/Wastewater Superintendent
City of Lodi
P.O. Box 3006
Lodi, CA 95241-1910
GROUND WATER MONITORING WELL PLAN, WHITE SLOUGH WATER
POLLUTION CONTROL FACILITY, LODI, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
We have received your letter dated 24 January 1994, containing a proposal to add two
monitoring wells in conjunction with expanding the acreage used for reclamation. I have a
few comments/questions regarding your proposal:
1. WSM-07 may be impacted by mounding from the holding ponds, and may not
represent true upgradient conditions. However, its location may provide useful
information regarding ground water conditions at the eastern boundary, and will be
beneficial for establishing better ground water contours.
2. Will the wells be drilled to 20 feet, as in the previous proposal? What will be the
length of the screened interval?
3. The proposal does not indicate how the wells will be developed.
4. All monitoring wells must be surveyed to a common datum.
5. Well logs and as built drawings should be provided for the new wells.
Please provide additional information to address comments 2 and 3, above, and the
remainder upon completion of the well installations. I may be reached at (916) 255-3023 if
you have any questions.
PATRICIA LEARY
Associate Engineer RECEIVED
PHL.pl FEB -- 4 1994
AN- CITY OFLODI
lko MUMCIP-1 C-:VICECErlTER
