The testing should be
conducted as specified in EPA guidance manual EPA 600/4-89/001. Effluent
toxicity samples shall be collected downstream from the last connection through
which wastes can be admitted into the outfall . Twenty-four hour composite
samples shall be representative of the volume and nature of the discharge. Time
of collection of samples shall be recorded. Effluent toxicity monitoring shall
include the following:
Species: Pimephales promelas, Ceriodaphnia, and Selenastrum
Frequency: Three times per quarter, when discharging to surface
water
Dilution Series:
Dilutions L1 Controls
Slough Lab
100 30 10 7 5 Water Water
% WSWPCF Effluent 100 30 10 7 5 0 0
% Dilution Water` 0 70 90 93 95 100 0
% Lab Water 0 0 0 0 0 0 100
Dilution water shall be non-toxic receiving water from White Slough taken
upstream, or out of the influence of the discharge.
EFFLUENT MONITORING OF INDUSTRIAL/DOMESTIC RECLAMATION WATER
Effluent samples shall be collected downstream from the last connection through
which reclaimed water and sludge can be admitted into the field distribution
system.
