WASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS -6- <br /> CITY OF LODI <br /> WHITE SLOUGH WATER POLLUTION CONTROL PLANT <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> 3. The discharge shall not cause concentrations of any materials in the <br /> receiving waters which are deleterious to human, animal , aquatic, or <br /> plant life. <br /> 4. The discharge shall not cause esthetically undesirable discoloration <br /> of the receiving waters. <br /> 5. The discharge shall not cause fungus, slimes or other objectionable <br /> growths in the receiving waters. <br /> 6. The discharge shall not cause bottom deposits in the receiving waters. <br /> 7. The discharge shall not increase the turbidity of the receiving waters <br /> more than 10% above background. <br /> 8. The discharge shall not alter the ambient pH of White Slough more <br /> than 0.5 units. <br /> 9. The discharge shall not increase the ambient temperature of White <br /> Slough more than 5°F (3°C). <br /> 10. The discharge shall not cause a violation of any applicable water <br /> quality standard for receiving waters adopted by the Board or the <br /> State Water Resources Control Board as required by the Clean Water Act <br /> and regulations adopted thereunder. If more stringent applicable <br /> water quality standards are approved pursuant to Section 303 of the <br /> Clean Water Act, or amendments thereto, the Board will revise and <br /> modify this order in accordance with such more stringent standards. <br /> E. Provisions: <br /> 1. The Discharger shall submit an operational plan showing how require- <br /> ments will be met when treated domestic and industrial wastewater is <br /> being applied to land. This plan shall include applications methods, <br /> loading rates, flows and quality of reclaimed wastewater (domestic and <br /> industrial ) and containment measures for land disposal . <br /> 2. Neither the discharge nor its treatment shall create a nuisance or <br /> pollution as defined in Section 13050 of the California Water Code. <br /> 3. Reclaimed wastewater shall meet the criteria contained in Title 22, <br /> Division 4, California Administrative Code (Section 60301, et seq. ) . <br /> 4. The requirements prescribed by this Order rescind Order No. 80-115, <br /> adopted by the Board on 12 September 1980. <br />
