, TASTE DISCHARGE REQUIREMENTS - 4 - <br /> CITY OF LODI <br /> WHITE SLOUGH WATER POLLUTION CONTROL PLANT <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> 7. The discharger shall use the best practicable cost-effective control <br /> technique currently available 'to limit mineralization to no more than <br /> a reasonable increment. <br /> 8. Survival of test fishes in 96-hour bioassays of undiluted wastes shall <br /> be no less than: <br /> Minimum, any one bioassay - - - - - - - - - 70% <br /> Median, any three or more consecutive bioassays - - - - 90% <br /> B. Effluent Limitations, discharge of treated domestic and industrial <br /> wastewater to land: <br /> 1. The discharge shall not create a nuisance as defined in the California <br /> Water Code. <br /> 2. The discharge shall not cause degradation of any water supply. <br /> 3. Runoff from areas irrigated with treated domestic wastewater in excess <br /> of the following limits is prohibited: <br /> 30-Day 30-Day Daily <br /> Constituent Units Average Average Maximum <br /> B.O.D.5(1) mg/l `40 - - 80 <br /> Settleable Matter ml/l 0.2 - - 0.5 <br /> (1) 5-day, 200C Biochemical Oxygen Demand <br /> 5. The dissolved oxygen concentration in the industrial aeration ponds <br /> and domestic and industrial holding ponds shall not be less than 1.0 <br /> mg/1 for 16 hours in any 24 hour period. <br /> 6. The discharge shall comply with all applicable provisions of Title 22, <br /> Chapter 4, of the California Adminstrative Code. <br /> C. Sludge Disposal: <br /> 1. Collected screening, sludges, and other solids removed from liquid <br /> wastes shall be disposed of in a manner approved by the Executive <br /> Officer. <br /> D. Receiving Water Limitations: <br /> 1. The discharger shall not cause the dissolved oxygen concentration in <br /> either White Slough or Bishop Cut to fall below 5.0 mg/l, nor shall <br /> the discharge cause the dissolved oxygen concentration in Dredger Cut <br /> at Highline Canal to fall below 3.0 mg/l. When dissolved oxygen con- <br /> centrations fall below these limits, the discharge of wastes to surface <br /> waters shall be prohibited. <br />
