MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM NO. 5-00- • 3 <br /> CITY OF LODI <br /> WHITE SLOUGH WATER POLLUTION CONTROL FACILITY <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> 1 Turbidity sampling requirement will become effective with completion of additional disinfection facility <br /> 1 May 2004. <br /> 2 The samples shall be flow proportional composite samples. <br /> 3 Samples shall be collected daily whether discharges are to Dredger Cut or to land reclamation. <br /> 4 The acute bioassays samples shall be analyzed using EPA/600/4-90/027F,Fourth Edition,or later <br /> amendment with Board staff approval. Temperature and pH shall be recorded at the time of bioassay <br /> sample collection. Test species shall be fathead minnows(Pimephales promelas),with no pH adjustment <br /> unless approved by the Executive Officer. <br /> 5 Concurrent with Ammonia Sampling. <br /> 6 Requires use of"clean technique"(EPA Method 163 1) for sampling,handling and analysis. <br /> 7 Discharger must submit report outlining sample collection,EPA test methods and detection limits within <br /> 60 days of permit adoption for approval. Report all peaks identified by the EPA test methods. <br /> 8 Standard Minerals include calcium,magnesium,hardness,sodium,potassium,alkalinity,sulfate, <br /> chloride,boron,and nitrate. <br /> If the discharge is intermittent rather than continuous, then on the first day of each such <br /> intermittent discharge, the Discharger shall monitor and record data for all of the constituents <br /> listed above with the exception of metals and priority pollutants, after which the frequencies of <br /> analysis given in the schedule shall apply for the duration of each such intermittent discharge. In <br /> no event shall the Discharger be required to monitor and record data more often than twice the <br /> frequencies listed in the schedule. <br /> EFFLUENT MONITORING OF INDUSTRIAL/DOMESTIC RECLAMATION WATER <br /> Monitoring shall commence during the irrigation season. Effluent samples shall be collected <br /> downstream from the last connection through with reclaimed water and sludge can be admitted <br /> into the field distribution system. Effluent samples shall be representative of the volume and <br /> nature of the discharge. Time of collection of grab samples shall be recorded.
