0 EXHIBIT B <br /> White Slough <br /> Water Pollution Control Facility <br /> Standard Operating Procedures <br /> DAILY DAY SHIFT DUTIES <br /> 1. Record chart and meter readings, print list on all recorders. <br /> 2. Check CL2 analyzers. This includes calibration, cleaning of flow tube, drain lines, <br /> cell and check chemical feed lines daily, add buffer as needed. Sample for MPN and <br /> calculate negative CL2. <br /> 3. Be sure receiving water D.O. monitoring is completed between 7:00 — 9:00 A.M. <br /> 4. Perform all normal daily routine as per Operator Rounds Sheets. <br /> 5. Run Secondary Solids testing daily at 10:15. The Relief Operator can run these <br /> tests but it the Duty Operator's responsibility to see that it is done. <br /> 6. Perform daily scheduled cleaning duties. <br /> 7. If there are two operators on duty, (i.e. Relief, Maintenance, Equipment Service, or <br /> Duty Operator coming on shift), The Duty Operator on shift will do the charts, <br /> meters, check the CL2 system, pick up the MPN sample and insure the remainder of <br /> the item listed above are completed. The other operators will do their duties as <br /> listed and assist the Duty Operator as needed. <br /> DAILY SWING SHIFT DUTIES <br /> 1. Be sure to talk to Duty Operator to get daily events communicated to each other. <br /> 2. Perform rounds approximately every two hours. <br /> 3. Check CL2 analyzers for proper operation and dose control. <br /> 4. Drop telescopic valve on DAFT as needed to keep tank bottom clear of sludge buildup. <br /> 5. Perform scheduled nightly cleaning duties in addition to normal cleaning duties. <br /> Normal cleaning duties include: <br /> • Skim CL2 contact tanks of excess debris, drop telescopic valve. <br /> • Dust and remove spider webs from wall fixtures and wall hangings in <br /> Control Building. <br /> • Remove empty cans from Lunch Room and crush them. <br /> • Put newspapers in recycle bin. <br /> • Sweep back hallway when needed. <br /> WTRQLTYCNTRL9903B PAGE 1 OF 3 <br />
