2 -
E. In the event of any gas or well control problems, immediately commence
r1rcu].atina throiiah the blowdown-circulating line. and mixing barite if
necessary. Never completely close-in the well, unless absolutely .
necessary, due to the extreme likelihood of rupturing around the surface
pipe.
3501± sacks of barite should be maintained on location at all times . It
is not desirable to close the well completely in due to the shallow depth
of the surface pipe due to the possibility that excessive shut-in pressure
could rupture the casing shoe and cause a rupture on the out-side to
surface, thereby causing complete loss of well control.
If in the weighing up and circulating process, It appears well control Is
In a precarious situation, do not procrastinate about calling out cement
trucks with at least 500 sacks API class "G" with 2% CaC12. A first
alternative to cementing though would be to attempt to pump in a 50-100
Bbl pill of 120 PCF mud.
6. Run the (1) dual induction - laterolog with 211 linear correlation and 5" logrithmic
correlation. Use 10 millivolt SP, 0-30 ohm scale and 0-1000 conductivity scale.
and (2) BHC integrated sonic with SP. If a completion proves justified to this
point and/or Is questionable, run:
A. compensated neutron-density log with gamma
B. dipmeter
Note: All logs to be taped. The tapes to be promptly transported to
Schlumberger's Century City office for immediate computor analysis .
7. If a completion is not justified, hang open-ended drill pipe 100' below the base
of the fresh water sands (estimated C 20001) and equalize a 75 sack plug of API
aJ 0 class "G" cement with 2% CaC12 , Calculated to fill 250 lineal feet. P.O.H.
laying down drill pipe. Equalize a 75 sack plug, hanging 50' below the shoe
9-5/811 casing C ±675' bringing cement back to at least 50 into 8-5/8" shoe.
\. D.O.G. to witness top of plug @ 625' . With drill pipe hanging at 931 ,
b`r equalize a 50 sack plug of API class "G" cement. Release rig.
COMPLETION
1. If a completion is justified, a 42" -.10 .5 & 11.64 K-55 ST&C casing string will
be run if a single zone completion exists or a 5-11' - 15 .5 & 17# K-55 ST&C casing
string will be run if a dual completion is forthcoming. Cement the completion
string to surface using a pozmix filler cement from 1000' above any potential zone
to surface and neat cement from T.D. to 1000' above any potential zone. Use
turboblade centralizers every other joint through, and 180' above and below any
zone. Use Howco type differential fill-up collar and differential guide shoe.
Install tubing spool. Install 6" - 900 B.O.P.E.
