An AEMC Project Manager directed all site investigation activities and was
responsible for the modifications to the Workplan, identified within this section of the
report. The overall purpose of the environmental investigation was to further characterize
the nature and extent of the fuel residue at the subject site and to determine whether or not
the oil contaminants pose a significant threat to the environment or public health and
safety.
Field Activities
AEMC directed all field activities at the Beck property during the period of
31 October 1988 through 11 November 1988. AEMC contracted with the following firms
during implementation of the investigation:
o All Terrain Drilling, Roseville -- Auger Borings, Sample Retrieval, and Well
Construction;
o Ken Gross Pumping, Galt -- Well Development; and
o Nolte & Associates, Manteca -- Surveying and Mapping.
All environmental sampling locations were surveyed and mapped on Figure 2 and
Appendix 1 (enlarged blueprint) of this report.
