• <br /> Standard Safe Work Practices <br /> and Emergency Response Procedures <br /> • <br /> Work Practices <br /> o A Tailgate Safety Meeting shall be conducted by the field <br /> supervisor at the beginning of every shift. <br /> • <br /> o The field supervisor has the training and authority to <br /> correct unsafe conditions. <br /> o No eating, drinking or smoking in work areas. <br /> • o All employees must wash their hands and face at lunch, the <br /> end of shift, and before eating, drinking or smoking. <br /> o Only employees who have been properly trained shall <br /> • operate equipment. <br /> o Any and all accidents, injuries and potentially unsafe <br /> working conditions shall be reported to the field <br /> supervisor immediately. <br /> • <br /> o No horseplay. <br /> o Observe all barricades, warning signs and caution tape. <br /> o Avoid unnecessary foot and vehicle traffic in work areas <br /> • so as to reduce the generation/migration of dust and soil. <br /> o To reduce exposure to dust, all workers shall work upwind <br /> if the day is mildly breezy, and all work shall stop if <br /> • the breezes become stronger than 12 miles per hour. <br /> o To reduce exposure to dust, the work area shall be lightly <br /> sprinkled with water as necessary for dust control. <br /> • <br />
