flights . It is estimated by the owner-operator that up to 30 percent of the airport operations occur on the secondary runway ( i . e. , 32 , 000 operations per year) . Future Considerations : Fixed base aircraft volume has been increasing by 10 to 15 airplanes per year , which represents an annual growth rate of approximately nine percent per year . This growth is limited by the number of hangar spaces available, with 80 new hangar spaces having been added during the past two years . Consideration is being given to adding 20 more hangar spaces and an additional 40 , 000 square feet of shop facilities within the next two years. The owner-operator expects to add a major fixed base operator to the facility this year , consisting of a passenger and freight airline with three Lockheed Electras and four Lear jets . This operator will also employ up to 70 people . In order to accommodate this new operation, relocation and lengthening of the secondary runway will be required. This new runway will probably be relocated to the west of the present secondary runway. In conjunction with this facility improvement , the owner-operator intends to submit an amended airport master plan to the Airport Land Use Commission for consideration and adoption.
