TANK CLOSURE REPORT—BEACON STATION 1!494 -4-
2185 East Fremont Street, Stockton, CA
AMV Project No. 19005.04
4.0 STOCKPILE SOIL
Soil that was removed during the tank and product line removal was stockpiled on site. After
the tanks were removed and soil samples were collected from underneath the former tank and
product lines, and with the approval of San Joaquin County, the stockpiled soil was returned to
the tank excavation and product line trenches.
Previous work at the site revealed that vapor extraction will be necessary to remove petroleum
hydrocarbon constituents from soil beneath the site as ascertained from analytical results of soil
samples collected during prior investigations. The soil returned to the tank excavation and
piping trenches was compacted to at least 90 percent. A copy of the letter documenting
compaction is presented in Appendix C.
It is recommended that a copy of this report be forwarded to the following agencies:
Ms. Carol Oz
Environmental Health Department
County of San Joaquin
445 North San Joaquin Road
Stockton, California 95201
Mr. Gordon Boggs
California Regional Water Quality Control Board,
Central Valley Region
3443 Routier Road
Sacramento, California 95827-3098
