Site Control <br /> The tank hole and piping area of the job site will be entirely fenced to secure the site from the <br /> public. A two foot area around the tank hole will be cleared to provide stable footing for all <br /> personnel, and any inspector who may be on site to oversee the tank removal procedure. <br /> Decontamination Measures <br /> The tank will be pumped of all existing product and then triple rinsed. All rinsate will be hauled by <br /> refinery services, and soil will be covered with plastic. Tank will be inerted by use of 30 pounds of <br /> dry ice per thousand gallons of storage capacity. <br /> General Work Practices <br /> All personnel on site will work in a safe manner. The trenching safety will include a spotter to <br /> watch for any unexpected pipes or other foreign materials that may be uncovered. No night work <br /> will be done on this job. <br /> Sanitation <br /> There are toilets and sinks available within existing building for workers and the public. We <br /> always promote clean and safe work practices. <br /> Standard Operating Procedures <br /> There are no confined spaces expected on the job site. All of our equipment has a daily checkup <br /> and safety meetings are held by the job foreman every Monday morning. The contractor is <br /> responsible for the L.E.L. meter test equipment to be calibrated and ready for use. <br /> z i i <br />
