A <br /> safe perimeter has been established at 20 feet around excavation. No unauthorized person <br /> should be within this exclusion area. <br /> D. HAZARD EVALUATION <br /> The following substance(s) or hazards are own or suspected to be on site. <br /> Substances involved Concentrations <br /> Gasoline unknown <br /> The primary hazards of each are identified as follows: <br /> 1. Hydrocarbon fuels - Components of fuels are colorless liquids with strong aromatic <br /> petroleum hydrocarbon-like odors. They are flammable and have low solubility in water. <br /> Exposure to these materials in excess of recommended exposure limits can cause mild eye, <br /> nose, and throat irritation and can produce a narcotic effect on the ceptral nervous systema <br /> Symptoms of exposure at these concentrations include headache,-nausea, drowsiness, <br /> dizziness, and loss of coordination. Certain components of gasoline (BTE&X etc.) are <br /> known or suspected carcinogens. <br /> The following additional hazards are expected on site:Vnical work related to facilijy. Noise, <br /> heavy equipment movement, etc. <br /> E.
