Casey Foley
Subject : Work Plan for Soil Borings
Matheson Trucking Facility
102 East Walnut Street, Lodi, California
Dear Ms . Foley:
During previous work at the Matheson Trucking Facility
in Lodi , California, soil samples were collected from three
locations below two underground storage tanks and one
location below a former pipe joint in the product line near
the former dispenser. Samples from below the tanks showed
low to nondetectable levels of hydrocarbons ; however, the
detection limits for the analyses used are considered
unacceptable by San Joaquin County . T he sample from below
the former pipe joint showed low to moderate gasoline
concentrations .
At the request of Matheson Fast Freight , Roger Foott
Associates , Inc. has prepared this work Plan which
summarizes the work performed to date and presents our
proposed procedures to reevaluate concentrations of
hydrocarbons below the former tanks and to explore the
extent of contamination near the pipe joint .
