SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> Introduction <br /> Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by James Galarneau to <br /> conduct a Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study for the property located at <br /> 830 West Woodbridge Road, Lodi, California. <br /> The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study are combined under this report <br /> cover and presented as two sections of this report. The formatting of the report has <br /> been designed to follow the recommendations of the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil Suitability Study <br /> Requirements Checklist and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements Checklist. <br /> The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study were conducted to determine <br /> whether the soils are suitable for use with a septic system, as well as to estimate if the <br /> use of septic systems will impact ground water quality. The study was performed <br /> according to the requirements of Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County <br /> Development code. <br /> Proposed Development <br /> Mr. Galarneau indicated that a new five-bedroom home is to be constructed on the Site. <br /> Site Description <br /> The Site is defined as Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 015-040-69, 0.98 acres in size. <br /> The Site is located at 830 West Woodbridge Road, Lodi (Plate 1). <br /> The Site is currently vacant (Plate 2). <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br /> map, is approximately 35 feet above mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat (Plate 3). <br /> According to the San Joaquin County Community Development Department <br /> (www.co.san-joaquin.ca.us), the Site is zoned AG-40, General Agriculture with a <br /> minimum parcel size of 40 acres. This zoning designation "is established to preserve <br /> agricultural lands for the continuation of commercial agriculture enterprises." <br /> Existing and Proposed Septic Tank Usage <br /> Existing Septic System <br /> No septic systems are currently located on the Site. <br /> LOGE 1936 Page 1 <br />
