Past Uses of the Site <br /> Based on information reviewed for the Surface & Subsurface Contamination Report <br /> (Live Oak, 2018), the buildings on the Site date to 1954 or earlier. No significant past <br /> agricultural use of the Site was identified. <br /> Existing and Proposed_Septic Tank Usage <br /> Existing Septic System <br /> Three septic systems are located on the Site, according to the Tentative Parcel Map <br /> (Plate 2). One of these may indicate an addition to the system at the main house. <br /> Proposed Septic System <br /> Ms. Nihad indicated that she may build more houses on the Site in the future; no <br /> specific plans for construction were provided to Live Oak. <br /> On-Site Septic Permit History <br /> Live Oak searched the septic system permits on file at the San Joaquin County <br /> Environmental Health Department; two permits were identified for the Site address.. <br /> • July 1972 permit for new septic system at guest house. The system utilized a <br /> 1,200-gallon septic tank, a 100-foot leach line, and a 25-foot deep by 36-inch <br /> diameter seepage pit. <br /> • March 2001 permit for repair to residential septic system. The permit indicates <br /> that a 40-foot leach line and a 25-foot deep by 36-inch diameter seepage pit <br /> were added to the existing system. <br /> The septic permits have been included in Appendix 4 of this report. <br /> Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity <br /> To estimate the existing septic system usage in the area, our office counted septic <br /> systems located within approximately one square mile surrounding the property. Aerial <br /> imagery from Google Earth was used. Each building cluster on the photograph was <br /> assumed to have one septic system. Using this method, it is estimated that 96 or more <br /> septic systems per square mile are present in the immediate vicinity of the Site. <br /> The general area consists of orchards and residences. <br /> Septic Permit History in the Vicinity <br /> Based on a review of septic permits on file at the San Joaquin County Environmental <br /> Health Department for nearby properties, it appears that most septic systems in the <br /> LOGE 1816 Page 2 <br />
