Lodi, San Joaquin
County. The letter is dated August 16, 2007, and was received by the Regional Water Board
on August 20, 2007. Your environmental consulting firm, E2C Remediation, Inc., of
Bakersfield prepared the letter on behalf of the representatives of the Busy Bee Site.
The title of the subject document indicated that the purpose was submittal of the draft RAP
Fact Sheet. This letter was followed by a conference call on October 10, 2007 with you, your
legal council, Mr. Dennis Zaragoza, Esq., and the Regional Water Board. The purpose of the
call was to discuss how to move forward with the Public Notice process and finalization of the
RAP. Following are our comments on the draft RAP Fact Sheet, and a summary of the issues
discussed on how to proceed with the Public Notice process.
Draft RAP Fact Sheet.
1. A concise Fact Sheet should be prepared for distribution to the surrounding businesses
and residences concerning the finalization of the RAP and the actual commencement
of the remedy, soil vapor extraction combined with groundwater air sparging.
2. Staff recommends that the fact sheet be limited to one page if possible. A second page
for the Glossary of Terms should also be included.
3. Regional Water Board contact information for questions or concerns should be listed
alongside yours at the top of the page.
4. Site history can be referenced to the document repository, and the location of the
document repository should be clearly visible.
5. The Cleanup Goal should be mentioned, per the text provided below for the RAP.
California Environmental Protection Agency
ca Recycled Paper
