The Workplan is an addendum to the City's Initial
Site Investigation (ISI) workplan, which was approved by DTSC on March 3, 2000. The
City submitted the Workplan to meet the requirement for submitting response action
workplans pursuant to the terms of the 1997 Comprehensive Joint Cooperative
Agreement (Agreement), between DTSC and the City of Lodi (City). Our review shows
the need for the City to revise the Workplan according to the comments provided with
this letter.
We understand that the City proposes to implement the work described in the Workplan
incrementally as access agreements are secured from the appropriate parties for the
locations identified. The City has secured access agreements with nine parties and
proposes to commence the air sampling at thirteen specific locations as identified in
Figure 2 of the Workplan. DTSC is pleased that the City is proposing to continue with
indoor air sampling program in the City of Lodi Area of Contamination and basically
agrees with the air sampling methodology and analytical approach. However, we see
the need for the City to expand the scope of work and the Workplan to include
information in the general areas listed below while considering the comments DTSC
technical staff has made to me in the attached technical memorandums.
The energy challenge facing California is real. Every Californian needs to take immediate action to reduce energy consumption.
For a list of simple ways you can reduce demand and cut your energy costs, see our Web-site at www.dtsc.ca.gov.
0 Printed on Recycled Paper
