Based on the information provided, it appears that this project will <br /> have a less-than-significant impact on the ambient air quality. Therefore, a negative <br /> declaration is appropriate from an air quality perspective. However, if construction is <br /> planned on these lots, emissions from the movement of soil, use of heavy equipment, <br /> bulk materials handling, asphalt paving and other related activities may be generated. <br /> As a result, this project is subject to District Regulation VIII (Fugitive Dust Prohibitions). <br /> The purpose of Regulation VIII is to reduce the amount of fine particulate matter (PM- <br /> 10) entrained into the ambient air from man-made sources. The attached Synopsis <br /> highlights many of the requirements contained within Regulation VIII.
