Remainder RPHA (9 ' 10" ) 7 . 50 12 , 000 + Pits
Soil Profile : Percolation Test Hole PH1A dug to a maximum depth of
19 ' 08" is used for Soil Profile reporting . See the attached "Field
Percolation Data Sheets" for Percolation Test Hole Nos . PH1 , RPH ,
PH1A , RPHA and URPH and the "Site Plan" as well as the text of
this report for specific soil layer character and location details .
No water was encountered in excavating any of the five (5)
percolation test holes .
Well Water Analysis : See the attached "Far West Laboratories Inc . "
letter , dated October 5 , 1998 , as well as the text of this study
report regarding Nitrate and DBCP concentrations .
RECOMMENDATIONS : Due to two ( 2 ) , PH1 and RPH , of the preliminary
non-standard 3-foot depth perco 1 at i on tests f a 1 i ng to meet the San
Joaquin County Health Service , Environmental Health Division
requirement of a percolation rate no greater than 60 minutes per
inch , the use of a subsurface horizontal leach field solely is not
permitted . Effluent is recommended to be discharged into 12 , 000
square feet minimum usable disposal areas in combination with
subsurface horizontal leach lines into seepage pits at a maximum
depth of twenty-five feet for both Parcel Nos . 1 and the designated
remainder parcel .
