when not in motion.
1.4 . 6 Traffic and Transportation
The possibility that the proposed project expansion would have an
adverse impact upon traffic and transportation was investigated in
detail.
E1 Rancho Rock and Sand, Inc. Quarry wishes to permit for an
anticipated maximum over the life of the quarry of 100 haul trucks
per day, and an average of 80 haul trucks per day.
Analysis indicates that roadways serving the quarry are in good to
excellent condition, suitable for significant truck traffic or an
elevated traffic index. The proposed increase in traffic due to
expanded quarry operations will not have a significant impact upon
the service level of the affected roads.
No significant impacts or adverse environmental changes will result
from the increase in haul truck traffic.
1.4 .7 Cultural Resources
The proposed project expansion will not impact prehistoric or
historic cultural resources at the project site. Much of the site
has been disturbed by both currently permitted and historic mining
activities. There are no prehistoric or historic cultural resources
at the project site. No adverse environmental changes will result.
1.4 .8 Socio-Economics
Limited potential for socio-economic impacts to population,
housing, employment and revenues exists from the provision of
additional jobs at the facility. The direct and indirect jobs
generated and the related population and housing demand are
expected to be insignificant. No adverse environmental changes will
" result.
1.4 .9 Aesthetics
Portions of the currently permitted quarry operation and the
proposed quarry expansion may be visible from sections of Waverly
Road, and may be observed by persons driving to the sanitary
landfill south of the project site. It is not anticipated that
their aesthetic senses will be unduly impacted.
The proposed project expansion will not cause increased impacts to
aesthetics. No adverse environmental impacts or changes will occur.
6
CONDOR
