Excavation and quarrying operations shall not disturb the
existing watercourse and wetland habitats and shall not occur
within 100 feet from the centerline of the natural drainage
channel.
Additional surveys for the following flowering sensitive plant
species shall be conducted as described:
1) Surveys shall be conducted for Delta button celery during
the period August - October.
2) Surveys shall be conducted for Greene's tuctoria during
the period May - June.
3) Surveys shall be conducted for Ahart's dwarf rush during
the month of April.
Should evidence of any of these species be found, the
California Department of Fish and Game and the San Joaquin
County Planning Department shall be notified.
The Corps should be contacted to provide a determination of
their jurisdiction regarding the narrow relatively flat
drainage swales without distinct bed or bank cutting which
transport surface flow from the southeast portion of the
project site. The Corps may be reached at 916-551-2526.
Excavation and quarrying operations shall not disturb the
vernal pools in the far southeastern portion of the project
site, as shown on the Biological Resources Map.
Additional surveys for the California tiger salamander shall
be conducted in May or late fall 1991 to verify the presence
or absence of this creature.
1.4 .5 Noise
The proposed project expansion will have no adverse impacts upon
existing noise levels. No potentially significant impacts upon or
irreversible environmental changes will result from noise impacts.
Insignificant impacts that could occur include:
Although field measurements of noise emissions produced by
backup horns on mobile equipment are barely perceptible and
not quantifiable, this noise is potentially very annoying.
I This impact will be minimized to a level of insignificance by
specific mitigation measures including:
El Rancho Rock and Sand, Inc. will institute and enforce a
written policy to minimize the annoyance of this noise. To the
extent practicable, the excavation and processing operations
will be reconfigured to minimize the necessity of backup of
equipment. Mobile equipment shall not be left in reverse gear
5
CONDOR
