Ranch Alluvium is comprised of fine to coarse-grained fan, mudf low, <br /> terrace and floodplain deposits. <br /> Overburden in the project site area consists of the Redding Soil <br /> Series, a gravelly loam with cobbly-gravelly surface textures. This <br /> soil has a USDA Capability Rating of Class IV. <br /> The northern portion of the project site consists of moderately to <br /> steeply rolling topography which slopes away northerly toward the <br /> Calaveras River. The southern portion of the project site consists <br /> of flat to gently rolling topography intersected by low-lying <br /> swales and drainage courses. <br /> The E1 Rancho Rock and Sand, Inc. Quarry property is classified by <br /> the State of California Division of Mines and Geology as within <br /> MRZ-3, (Mineral Resource Zone 3) . Areas classified as MRZ-3 contain <br /> aggregate deposits, the significance of which cannot be evaluated <br /> from available data. Aggregate testing results indicate that <br /> processed Laguna Formation and Mehrten Formation aggregates could <br /> meet PCC-grade standards if beneficiation proves to be economical. <br /> 22 <br /> CONDOR <br />
