existing check dam.
Excavated rock and sand are processed at the plant by washing,
crushing, rolling, conveying and screeninct. This process classifies
the raw materials into fill sand, clean sand, and rock aggregate
products, which are sold for construction purposes such as road
base, shoulder aggregates, decorative rock, and concrete-related
products. Up to 5% of the raw feed to the plant is currently wasted
as fines. Processed material is stockpiled on-site in the form of
rock aggregate and sand. Once sold, the final product is then
transported off-site by haul truck. Off-site transport of final
product will be undertaken by subcontractors. Topsoil will not be
removed from the project site.
Please refer to Appendix I for process flow diagrams, stationary
equipment list, mobile equipment list, and process flow summaries
for the mined material recovery process
Location of the Recovery Process (es) :
On-site, in the central portion of the lease holding, about 2000 '
east of Waverly Road.
