1 <br /> g. Drainage improvements for Parcel 1 as specified by the Flood Control Division shall be <br /> constructed and shall be noticed by a statement on the Parcel Map (DV-98-3). <br /> 3. ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION: (Staff Contact: Bill Marchese, 468-3445) <br /> a. A soil suitability study, as required by Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County <br /> Development Title, indicating that the area is suitable for a septic tank system must be <br /> performed prior to recordation of the Parcel Map. A review fee of$156.00 is required at <br /> the time of submittal to the Environmental Health Division. <br /> b. The sewage disposal system shall comply with the on-site sewage standards of San <br /> Joaquin County prior to approval. A percolation test that meets absorption rates of the <br /> manual of septic tank practice or E.P.A. Design Manual for on-site wastewater treatment <br /> and disposal systems is required for each parcel. A permit fee of$78.00 per percolation <br /> hole is required. <br /> C. The existing private water well shall be tested for the chemical dibromochloropropane <br /> (DBCP) and nitrates prior to recordation of the Parcel Map. Samples are to be taken <br /> and analyzed by a State approved laboratory. (Development Title Section 9-1115.7) <br /> d. The well must be repaired under permit and inspection by the Environmental Health <br /> Division, as follows: <br /> (1) Agricultural discharge pipes utilizing an air gap for backflow prevention shall <br /> maintain an air gap equal to the size of the discharge pipe, but not less than 6 <br /> inches. The discharge pipe shall also have two '/.-inch slits extending 6 inches <br /> from the bottom of the pipe and opposite each other, or a backflow device <br /> approved by San Joaquin County must by installed. <br /> (2) Install a sanitary seal; install a cement surface seal around the well casing to <br /> sufficiently protect the well casing and the integrity of the well grout; and raise <br /> the well casing 12 inches above ground level. (Development Title Section 9- <br /> 1115.4(e)) <br /> e. Construction of an individual domestic water well under permit and inspection by the <br /> Environmental Health Division is required at the time of development. (Development <br /> Title Section 9-1115.3) <br /> f. Construction of an individual sewage disposal system under permit and inspection by the <br /> Environmental Health Division is required at the time of development.
