Soil Suitability Study MIS-98-37 Parcel Nos . 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 , & 5
percolation test holes are shown on the attached "Site Plans" . The
failure of these five shallow preliminary percolation tests
determined the need for deep percolation testing.
Three (3 ) deep percolation test holes were drilled on December 5 ,
1997 and four (4 ) more were drilled on December 29 , 1998 . No
further testing on two of these deep percolation test holes was
determined to be needed after drilling by visual observation of the
soil character . Only Deep Percolation Test Hole Nos . DP1A, DP2A,
DP3B, DP4B and DP5A noted in the "Soil Profile And Percolation Test
Hole Drilling" topic earlier in this soil suitability study report
were formaly tested.
Five ( 5) deep percolation tests were conducted and performed
on Deep Percolation Test Hole Nos . DP1A, DP2A, DP3B, DP4B and DP5a
in accordance with the percolation test procedures outlined in the
"Manual Of Septic Tank Practice" , published by the Department Of
Health, Education And Welfare and the requirements of the San
Joaquin County Public Health Service , Environmental Health
Division .
The results of the deep percolation tests performed on the
above mentioned five ( 5) test holes is summarized and tabulated as
follows :
TEST RESULTS :
Parcel Test Bole Per Rate minimum Usable Eniner
N0 . One on Parcel No . 4 , 16750
Clements Road, and one on Parcel No . 3 , 16751 Clements Road, at the
locations shown on the attached "Tentative Parcel map" and the
"Site Plans" . Two samples were taken from each well . One sample was
taken for testing for Nitrate (NO3 ) and the other sample was taken
for testing for Dibromochloropropane (DBCP) . The results of the
tests on the sampled water from the wells for Dibromochloropropane
(DBCP) and Nitrate (NO3 ) are tabulated as follows :
R.E.
