Surface drainage from the
corral area drains towards a retention basin. The retention basin was noted with water and was
approximately 150 by 425 feet in area (see Photo 1). An overflow pipe was noted at the
northwest corner of the basin. According to Mr. Pombo, the retention basin has not overflowed
and the overflow pipe has been clogged for some time. A culvert-type metal/concrete pipe and
an empty water tank were also noted near the pond. Ponded water was also noted just northwest
of Interstate 580 near and in the vacant field portion of the subject site. It appeared the ponded
water in this area resulted from surface runoff from portions of the greater site area including the
corral area. An oil pipeline sign was noted indicating a pipeline along the northeast border of the
greater subject site and southwest of Interstate 580. A cement debris pile is noted in the far
northeast portion of the site located northeast of Interstate 580.
6.4 ADJACENT PROPERTIES
The adjacent property surrounding the subject site was vacant cattle grazing fields. There were
no noted strictures or above ground storage tanks. Interstate 580 and the California Aqueduct
are noted trending southeast/northwest through the subject site.
20-4014-05.P01/2019R414r Page 17 of 23
Copyright 1999,Kleinfelder,Inc.
