KLEINFELDER
7) Multiple above ground storage tanks (ASTs), some empty, some used for storage of water,
molasses, diesel and oil are present on site. There is no soil staining visible associated with
the ASTs. Above ground storage tanks storing diesel and oil should be equipped with
secondary containment. If the amount of petroleum products meets the threshold of 660
gallons per tank or 1,320 gallons per facility, an AST permit to of
California Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (RWM
8) According to the RWQCB, the pond on site was constructed to prevent run-off from the
property from entering a nearby ditch. The agreement to construct the pond was made
verbally. It is likely that the pond contains water or sediments that contain animal wastes
and/or silage. Although Kleinfelder is unaware of any requirements to sample the pond,
sampling and analysis could be conducted if requested.
9) A petroleum pipeline is located adjacent to the site. Kleinfelder has contacted the State Fire
Marshall's office for information regarding the pipeline. This information is not yet
available. However, in the event that a leak occurs in the pipeline adjacent to the site, and
that contamination attributable to the pipeline migrates onto the site, the expense and/or
liability associated with any necessary investigation or clean-up would typically fall upon the
responsible party(i.e. the owner/operator of the pipeline).
This report is subject to limitations in Chapter 8. Any party other than the Client who would like
to use this report shall notify Kleinfelder, Inc. of such intended use by executing the"Application
for Authorization to Use"contained in Appendix F of this document.
20-4014-05.P01/2019R4.14r Page 20 of 23
Copyright 1999,Kleinfelder,Inc.
