STANDARD PUBLIC ENVIRONMENTAL RECORD SOURCES
County, State and Federal environmental records were reviewed for sites which may have
impacted the subject property. The databases accessed did not indicate a problem or potential
problem with the subject site.
The Bacchetti's have owned the property for the past ten years. Prior to their ownership, a Mrs.
Silva owned the property since the 1940's.
Past surrounding land use has been agricultural production and very low density residential.
Records at the San Joaquin County Agricultural Commissioner's office indicate alfalfa is the
predominate crop grown in this area.
There are two primary sources of information which document and define past land use, although
occasionally they are difficult to interpret. The first is the use of aerial photographs. Aerial
photographs of the subject area in the 1950's and 1960's located at the University of California at
Davis indicate no changes in the subject property, as best as could be determined. The second
type of information are United States Geological Survey (USGS)maps. The 1971 map
illustrates the three referenced buildings and no others.
INFORMATION FROM SITE RECONNAISSANCE AND INTERVIEWS
The following information was obtained visually and/or through an interview with Frank and
Joseph Bacchetti: The subject property contains no underground or above ground storage tanks
(UST/AST). There is an on-site, conventional septic system with a tank and leachfield area.
Pesticides (insecticides/herbicides)used in this year's alfalfa production are not stored on the
subject property. When pesticides are used, an independent applicator is responsible for storage
and container disposal. There were no containers noted on-site, other than three, empty 55 gallon
drums which had no markings and had obviously been empty for some time.
The subject property was surveyed for evidence which is indicative of surface and/or subsurface
contamination: There are no transformers on-site;therefore,there is no concern from
polychloride biphenyl (PCB) contamination. Nor was there any evidence of solid waste disposal.
The site was carefully inspected for environmental concerns originating from discolored,
disturbed or subsided soils, stressed vegetation(other than sprayed with herbicide), and unusual
or noxious odors. None of these environmental indicators were present.
3
`Uaffey Aq P,searck
