(Wright) has prepared this Groundwater Monitoring Well
Sampling and Chemical Analysis, 3`d Quarter 2010, Report on behalf of City of Tracy (property !,
owner) for the above referenced site. This work is in response to letters dated October 17 2007
and February 24, 2009 from the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (EHD) for
additional site assessment. The purpose of the work is to address contaminants from an
underground diesel fuel storage tank at the ,;Wastewater Treatment (WWTP) on the site to
monitor the Diesel fuel dissolved plume (see References). - -
1.0 Background
One (1) underground storage tank containing diesel fuel for a backup generator at the WWTP
was removed from the site in January 1998 under EHD permits. One (1) surface diesel storage
tank is located adjacent to the former tank pit. Soil and groundwater samples collected as a part
of the tank removal revealed Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons .as Diesel (TPHD) in soil at I1
milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg) and 580 milligrams per liter (mg/1) in groundwater. On the
basis of this data, EHD requested additional site investigation. The former tank pit is located
within the WWTP operation between several large treatment ponds. Tank removal data froi
1998 showed low levels of TPHD in soil and groundwater samples. `
Four (4) exploratory borings (B-1, B-2, B-3 and B-4) were drilled and sampled in April 2003
around the former underground tank pit at theWWTP. The soil samples collected showed that
contaminants were not detected. Groundwater samples showed very low levels of dissolved
Page 1 of 7
