(Wright) and
has the following comments.
Write proposes in this Work Plan to install one groundwater monitoring well to total depth of
approximately 25 feet below surface grade (bsg) to verify the detections of total petroleum
hydrocarbon contamination reported in grab groundwater samples collected from Geoprobe
soil borings advanced in the area of a former underground storage tank. The monitoring well
will be installed with a truck mounted hollow-stem auger drill rig; soil samples will be
collected every five feet during drilling. Following installation of the well it will be surveyed to
a known benchmark by a licensed surveyor, properly developed and started on a routine
quarterly groundwater monitoring sampling schedule until trends are established.
The EHD approves the proposed scope of work. Please proceed with submittal of a San
Joaquin County Well Permit Application, required $89.00 permit fee and $315.00 permit
inspection fee and with scheduling the approved work. Deadline for installation of the
approved monitoring well is June 26, 2009; a report of findings is due for submittal to the
EHD within 60 days following completion of the fieldwork, and the report, all laboratory data
and findings from the work must be submitted to Geotracker, the State Water Resources
Control Board internet database.
If you have any questions please call Lori Duncan at (209) 468-0337.
Sincerely,
Lori Duncan, REHS Margaret Lagorio, REHS
Registered Environmental Health Specialist Program Coordinator
cc: James Barton, CVRWQCB, 11020 Sun Center Drive, #200, Rancho Cordova CA 95670
John Lynch, Wright Environmental, 2395 East Pescadero Avenue, Tracy CA 95304
