Figure for Borin...
Lori,
We have just discovered from CH2M Hill that. the RWQCB required the City to install a
series of Monitoring Wells around the entire facility.
None are located within 200 feet of the former UST or our several push points where we
collected soil and grab groundwater samples. Those MW installed by CH2M Hill are not
j sampled for Diesel or BTEX, and I do not know at this time what they are sampled for. If
you want, I will request the lab data from CH2M Hill.
We have enough MW's out there to determine gradient for the whole site.
It would seem reasonable to limit the number of additional .MW's near the former UST and to
utilize existing down gradient wells (WWTP-MW-7 and
MW-8) for contour maps and perhaps sampling for diesel only. Do you think one new MW near
B-5 would be adequate considering the highest GW TPHd concentration discovered is 490
Ug/1?
Please let me know so I can provide Paul Verma with a budget. and he can amend our contract
to prepare a work plan build a new monitoring well near the former UST.
Thanks, John Lynch
209-603-3394
1
