June 19, 2019 Page 2of2 SIEGFRIED
seepage pit(10—60" pits)system will require an initial site area of roughly 75 ft.x 75 ft. or an
alternate layout of 45 ft.x 135 ft.A site must also be reserved for a future system 100%
replacement.Therefore,two independent areas are required or one combined area measuring 150
ft.x 75 ft. (or 90 ft.x 135ft.)
The leach pits also require the following setbacks;
a. Property line—75 feet
b. Storm pond deeper than 6 feet—100 feet(10 feet for ponds< 6 feet deep)
c. Onsite water wells-150 feet
d. Buildings- 10 feet
6. Domestic and Fire Suppression Water
Offsite water services are not available at this site.The site can be served by a well and storage tank
system.A well exists onsite, however,the size, performance and viability of this well are unknown at
this time.
For domestic, potable use,State and County water quality standards must be met to utilize this
water system.
Based on our preliminary findings, in order to utilize an onsite water well for fire protection, one of
two alternatives must be provided;
a. An onsite well and back-up generator system capable of producing 1,500 gallons per minute
(gpm)•
b. In accordance with NFPA 1142, an onsite storage tank with a 115,000 gallon capacity(for Type
VB Building) and associated fire pumping system capable of pumping 1,000 gpm.This is roughly
a 30 foot diameter by a 24 foot high tank.The tank size can be reduced to 77,000 gallons for a
Type 1116 building.
The storage tank is generally the more economical option for this type of site. eROF ESS/oV
cl
N0. 0-3
EXP. 12/31/191/19
r
Anth yJ.
