The site assessor parcel number is (APN)251-140-05. Proposed"development"
consists of a commercial onsite wastewater treatment system for the T8021 office located at Site 300,
which will accommodate up to 20 individuals.Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories (LLNL)is
currently expanding its workforce and needs additional office space. The LLNL Site 300 has been
selected to locate a modular office building to increase capacity for mission growth. This is adjacent
to a building which is no longer utilized. The objective of the project is to procure one modular office
building, and improve site utilities such as electrical, communication, water, sewer, and storm water
drainage.Existing asphalt pavement will be removed, and the site will be regraded to site the modular
office. Based on this, the project is subject to the San Joaquin County Environmental Health
Department requirements for assessment and submission of a Soil Suitability Study(SSS).
The purpose of this SSS is to determine whether the soils for the proposed project are suitable for
use with a septic system. The study was conducted in accordance with the requirements of Section
9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development Code.An important element of an SSS consists
of conducting percolation tests to determine if soils meet the standard absorption rates,as required
by San Joaquin County Public Health Services and the Environmental Health Department(EHD).
In addition to conducting the percolation tests,a review of geologic maps, published soil information,
and groundwater information was utilized to evaluate the suitability of soils for use with a septic
system. This report has been formatted to correspond with the Soil Suitability Study Requirements
Checklist of the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(EHD) dated September 25,
i 2007.
1.1 Description of Site
The property is located at 15999 W Corral Hollow Road,Tracy,San Joaquin County,California.(APN:
251-140-05).
