SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br />Introduction <br />Live Oak GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (Live Oak) was contracted by Ajay Kumar to conduct <br />a Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study for his property located at 16895 West <br />Grant Line Road, Tracy, California. <br />The Soil Suitability Study and Nitrate Loading Study are combined under this report <br />cover and presented as two sections of this report. The formatting of the report has <br />been designed to follow the recommendations of the San Joaquin County <br />Environmental Health Department as described in its Soil Suitability Study <br />Requirements Checklist and Nitrate Loading Study Requirements Checklist. <br />The Soil Suitability Study was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for <br />use with a septic system. The study was performed according to the requirements of <br />Section 9-1105.2(d) of the San Joaquin County Development code. <br />Proposed Development <br />Mr. Kumar intends to place a mobile home on the Site; he has not yet determined the <br />number of bedrooms. <br />Site Description <br />The Site is composed of Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 209-140-07, approximately <br />0.94 acres in size. The Site is located at 16895 West Grant Line Road, Tracy (Plate 1). <br />The Site is currently vacant. A well and septic system from a former residence remain <br />on the Site (Plate 2). <br />The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic <br />map, is approximately 56 to 58 feet above mean sea level. The Site is relatively flat <br />(Plate 3). <br />According to the San Joaquin County Community Development Department <br />(www.co.san-joaquin.ca.us), the Site is zoned AG-40, General Agriculture with a <br />minimum parcel size of 40 acres. This zoning designation "is established to preserve <br />agricultural lands for the continuation of commercial agriculture enterprises." <br />LOGE 1909 Page 1
