Valley Motors page 2
800 E. Main St., Stockton.
Vapor probes proposed in the work plan need to be grouted after withdrawal with an
approved grout mix. Native soil is an unacceptable matrix to destroy soil borings at the
depths proposed.
A revision or addendum to the work plan is required prior to PHS-EHD approving this
next phase of work. Please submit one that addresses all of the noted concerns by
November 21, 1997.
After the new monitoring wells are installed, PHS-EHD will require you to return to a
quarterly monitoring schedule for all of the wells. This requirement is to start at the
very next sampling event (fourth quarter 1997) and continue every quarter until revised
by PHS-EHD. The report of the sampling event for this fourth quarter (Oct, Nov, and
Dec) should be submitted to PHS-EHD prior to the first quarter-1998 sampling event.
The Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (CVRWQCB) has responded
to the notification of chlorinated solvents in the groundwater sent January 16, 1997.
Unfortunately, staffing priorities will not currently allow their review of your site. PHS-
EHD will now contact the underground tank section of the CVRWQCB and will advise
you of their decision.
Please continue to submit your work plans, quarterly monitoring reports, and all other
correspondence to Michael Infurna and you may call him at (209) 468-3454 should you
wish to discuss your site or have any questions.
Donna Heran, REHS, Director
Environmental Health Division
-"AG
3jr.
Michael J.
