Valley Motors page 2
800 E. Main St., Stockton
_GWE extraction, as well as the permit required to discharge the treated water into the
City of Stockton sewer system is expensive. The discharge permit normally requires
the treated water to be below EPA Method 8260B detection limits for all analytes. Other
UST sites have found that GWE is not cost effective after the city requirements were
factored in to the proposal. _
If you still wish to evaluate GWE, submit a proposal to the EHD to conduct a short term
GWE test. Include in the GWE test proposal how the extracted water will be disposed..
If the GWE test demonstrates that GWE is a viable remedial alternative, the costs for
installation, operation, and maintenance of the system and the costs for disposal of the
extracted water should be submitted to the EHD to demonstrate that GWE is a cost-
effective remedial action.
Please continue to upload all ESI data, work plans, and feasibility tests to Geotracker
for review.
You may contact Mr. Infurna at (209) 468-3454 if you have any questions. Mr. Infurna
may also be reached by electronic mail at minfurnaa-sicehd.com.
Donna Heran, RENS, Director
Environ ntal Health De m nt
Michael J.
