EI Dorado Street <br /> I <br /> Stockton, CA 95202 <br /> ABANDONED UNDERGROUND STORAGE TANK, 800 EAST MAIN STREET, STOCKTON, <br /> SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY(RB CASE#390546) <br /> California Regional Water.Quality Control Board, Central Valley Region (Central Valley Water Board) <br /> staff have been notified by the San Joaquin County Environmental.Health Department(SJCEHD)that an <br /> abandoned underground storage tank(UST) is located under the sidewalk on City of Stockton property in <br /> front of the property at 800 East Main Street in Stockton. The UST fill/vent piping is visible though the <br /> sidewalk, and an unknown liquid was observed in the exposed fill/vent pipe. This UST may be a source <br /> of chlorinated solvents detected in groundwater in this area. <br /> You are hereby directed by Central Valley Water Board staff to properly remove this UST under SJCEHD <br /> permit, collect appropriate soil and groundwater samples and submit a report of the activities within 90 <br /> days of receipt of this letter. <br /> You may contact me with any questions or concerns by phone at(916) 464-4615 or by e-mail at <br /> ibarton waterboards.ca.gov. <br /> /s/original signed by <br /> James L.L.
