November 5, 2007 <br /> PART I: SOIL SUITABILITY STUDY <br /> NEW MOOSE LODGE <br /> 3824 EAST WOODBRIDGE ROAD <br /> ACAMPO, CALIFORNIA <br /> OUR PROJECT NUMBER: E07175A <br /> 1.0 INTRODUCTION AND PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT <br /> Our office was contracted by Peter Friis of Friis Constructors, Inc. to conduct a Soil Suitability <br /> Study (SSS) for the property at 3824 East Woodbridge Road, Acampo, California. <br /> The SSS was conducted to determine whether the soils are suitable for use with a septic <br /> system. The study was performed according to the requirements of Section 9-1105.2(d) of the <br /> San Joaquin County Development code. A major element of the field work included conducting <br /> percolation tests that meet the required absorption rates as required by San Joaquin County, <br /> Public Health Services, Environmental Health Department (EHD). <br /> In addition to conducting the percolation tests, a review of published soil information, geologic <br /> maps, and ground water information was performed to evaluate the suitability of soils for use <br /> with a septic system. <br /> The formatting of this report has been designed to follow, to the greatest degree possible, the <br /> EHD's Soil Suitability Study Requirements Checklist, dated July 14, 2003, <br /> 1.1 Site Description <br /> The Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) for the Site is 013-220-52. The parcel is 22.02 acres in <br /> size (Plate 1). The county application number is PA-07-180. The Site is currently planted with <br /> blueberries, though these are not being actively managed. <br /> The elevation of the Site, according to a United States Geological Survey topographic map, is <br /> about 55 feet above mean sea level. The land grades gently down to the northwest. <br /> According to the San Joaquin County Community Development Department (www.co.san- <br /> joaquin.ca.us), the subject property is zoned AG-20, general agriculture with a minimum parcel <br /> size of 20 acres. This zoning designation "is established to preserve agricultural lands for the <br /> continuation of commercial agricultural enterprises." <br /> 1.2 Proposed Development <br /> The Site is proposed for development into a Moose Outdoor Sportman's Club.
