New Moose Lodge Soil Suitability Study Page 2 of 9
Our Project Number: E07175A
November 5, 2007
1.3 Site Vicinity
A site vicinity map is included in the appendix of this report as Plate 2.
1.4 Site Map
A site map is included in the appendix of this report as Plate 1.
2.0 PRESENT AND PAST USES OF THE SITE
2.1 Past and Present Site Use
The Site has been used for agriculture, primarily vineyard, since 1940 or earlier. It is currently
planted with blueberries, though these are not being actively maintained.
3.0 EXISTING AND PROPOSED SEPTIC TANK USAGE
3.1 Existing On-Site Septic Tank Usage
No septic systems are present on the Site.
3.2 On-Site Septic Permit History
No septic permits were found for the Site during file review at San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department (EHD), on October 26, 2007.
3.3 On-Site Septic Repair Permit History
No septic repair permits were found for the Site during file review at San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department (EHD), on October 26, 2007.
3.4 Existing Septic Tank Usage in the Vicinity
In an attempt to determine the septic system density for the vicinity of the Site, our office
reviewed a 1993 aerial photograph of the subject property available from Microsoft Terraserver.
We counted the building clusters within one square mile of the Site, and made the assumption
that each building cluster has one septic system. Using this method, we determined that there
are a minimum of 26 septic systems per square mile in the immediate vicinity of the Site.
The general area consists of agricultural land with scattered rural residences and commercial
properties. A winery is located adjacent to the west.
902 Industrial Way-Lodi.CA 95240-209.367.3701 - Fax 209.369.4228 ©2007 Neil O.Anderson&Associates, Inc
