h� KLEINFELDER <br /> 6 SITE RECONNAISSANCE <br /> A representative from Kielntelder. .Jennifer Young, Staff Geologist, conducted a site <br /> reconnaissance on August 19, 1999, to assess and photograph present site conditions. The <br /> approximate site boundaries are shown in Appendix A. Plate 2 "Site Map," and color <br /> photographs of the site are presented on Plate 3. The site conditions discussed below are limited <br /> to readily apparent environmental conditions observed. <br /> 6.1. GENERAL INFORMATION <br /> There are three structures located near the southwest corner of the subject site, and are discussed <br /> in more detail below. The area surrounding the residential area consist of an unpaved area with <br /> automobiles, a drier for the �11ourds. cmpty corn storage units. wood crates containing gourds, <br /> wood debris and other miscellaneous debris. There are two above ground storage tanks located <br /> near the residence. One tank contains water and has an approximate size of 250-gallons. The <br /> other tank contains propane and has an approximate size of 250-gallons. There was no soil <br /> staining noted in this area. A 50-gallon above ground storage tank containing water is also <br /> located to the north of the warehouse. A well is also present south of the residence. <br /> There are three pole-mounted trallstormers located along the western drive path that extends <br /> from Fine Road to the residential area. The transformers are in good condition and there are no <br /> visible signs of soil stainirlg. <br /> 6.2. STRUCTURES <br /> There are three structures located on the subject site. The structures consist of a residence; spa <br /> house, and a warehouse. The residence is a single-story building with a wooden frame and <br /> shingle roof. The spa house has a wooden frame and walls with a concrete floor, a spa is located <br /> inside the structure. The warehouse has a metal frame, corrugated metal walls, and a concrete <br /> floor. Items stored in the warehouse include wood, and retail quantities of automotive products <br /> (i.e. oil and lubricant). air compressor, paint, and other miscellaneous items in the original <br /> labeled retail containers. Thcre is no staining noted in this area. <br /> 6.3. SURROUNDING PROPERTIES <br /> The surrounding properties to the north consist of fallow agricultural field with rural residences <br /> and associated buildings throuahout the area. Adjacent to the south of the subject site is a dry <br /> ditch. There are also fallow a�(Uricultural fields and rural residences.
