28 January 2014 AGE Project No. 14-2996 Page 2 of 3 sampling sleeves.After sample retrieval,the ends of each sleeve were covered with Teflon sheets, capped and sealed with tape.All samples were properly labeled, stored on ice and transported under chain-of-custody to CalTech Environmental Laboratory (CTEL), a California Department of Public Health-certified laboratory, for analysis. Samples were analyzed for the following constituents: • Total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline and diesel (TPH-g and TPH-d) in accordance with EPA Method 8015M; • Compounds benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes (BTEX) in accordance with EPA Method 826013; and • Fuel additives di-isopropyl ether (DIPE), methyl-tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), ethyl tertiary-butyl ether (ETBE), tertiary-amyl methyl ether (TAME), and t-butyl alcohol (TBA) in accordance with EPA Method 8260B. ANALYTICAL RESULTS OF SOIL SAMPLES Constituents of concern were not reported at or above laboratory detection limits in the four (4) UST removal soil samples (Tank Pit-1 through Tank Pit-4). The analytical report, QA/QC report (CTEL Project No. CT214-1401056) and chain-of-custody form are attached. Approximate locations of the soil samples are shown on Figure 2. CONCLUSIONS Samples collected beneath the UST did not indicate the presence of hydrocarbons. LIMITATIONS Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based solely upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory. Evaluations of the hydrogeologic conditions at the site have been made from a limited number of available data points (i.e., soil samples) and subsurface conditions may vary away from these data points.
