10. To Perform CPR <br /> A. Call for Help <br /> B. Arousal: check for consciousness. <br /> C. Open airway with chin lift. <br /> D. Look, Listen, and feel for breathing <br /> E. If breathing is absent, give 2 slow, full rescue breaths <br /> F. Check the pulse for 5 to 10 seconds <br /> G. If pulse is present, continue rescue breathing: 1 breath every 5 seconds <br /> H. If pulse is absent, start CPR: 15 compressions,2 breaths (1 man). <br /> VIII. PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT <br /> Based on the hazard analysis for this project, the following personal protective equipment (PPE) <br /> will be required and used. Changes to these specified items PPE will not be made without the <br /> approval of the site safety officer. <br /> The PPE for this project will be Level D. Sturdy Work boots, hard hats and reflective safety vest, <br /> will be worn in the work area. Cotton overalls may be worn for dirt protection. Ear plugs, dust <br /> masks and safety glasses will be available &used as directed by the site safety officer. <br /> Modified Level D PPE will be donned prior to continuing work when VOC levels reach the <br /> applicable limit. Modified Level D will include Tyvek coveralls in addition to the level D items <br /> specified above. <br /> Under no circumstances will Wendt& Son's Construction employees work at level C or beyond <br /> without a complete work stoppage and total re-evaluation of the HSSP. <br /> Nitrite gloves with latex or vinyl liners should be worn when sampling or handling contaminated <br /> soils to prevent skin contact with contaminants. If conditions are encountered where any of the <br /> constituents listed in Table C-1 are detected at or above the TLV for that chemical, work will cease. <br /> IX. MEDICAL SURVEILLANCE REQUIREMENTS <br /> Medical surveillance is conducted as a routine program which meets the requirements of 29 CFR <br /> 1910.120 (f). There will not be any special medical tests or examinations required for staff involved <br /> in this project. <br />
