MSDS: Material safety data sheets are available to all site personnel, the MSDS can be found in the <br /> jobsite trailer or in the site supervisor's vehicle. <br /> X. SITE CONTROL MEASURES <br /> SPSA Safe Performance Self Assessment will be used at all time while on site. <br /> Assess the risk! Analyze how to reduce the risk! Act to ensure safe operations ! <br /> Safe work practices to be employed during the entire progress of field work are as follows: <br /> Set up, assemble, and check out all equipment for integrity and proper function before entering the <br /> work area and prior to starting work activities. <br /> Do not use faulty or suspect equipment. <br /> Use only new and intact protective clothing. <br /> Do not use hands to wipe face. Use a clean towel or paper towels. <br /> Practice Contamination avoidance at all times. <br /> X1. EMERGENCY PROCEDURES <br /> The SSO is trained in first aid and CPR. First aid kit and fire extinguisher will be located at the <br /> command vehicle. The nearest telephone is located on site and the SSO's truck will also be <br /> equipped with a mobile telephone. The emergency telephone numbers to be used to call for <br /> assistance are listed in the section on Key Personal and Responsibilities with the reference list of <br /> project contacts. <br /> In the event the site must be evacuated, a horn shall sound and all personnel must evacuate the site <br /> immediately and assemble Behind the Convenience store for roll call. <br /> RESPONSE TO EMERGENCY -STEPS <br /> 1. Survey the situation. Do not endanger your own life. DO NOT ENTER A CONFINED SPACE <br /> TO RESCUE SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN OVERCOME UNLESS PROPERLY EQUIPPED, <br /> TRAINED, AND A STANDBY PERSON IS PRESENT. <br /> 2. Call 911 (if available) or the fire department IMMEDIATELY. Explain the physical injury, <br /> chemical exposure, fire, or release situation. <br />
