Portable hand-held compressed gas horns <br /> Homs should be used to alert all personnel of an emergency. One long blast shall <br /> be used to signify immediate evacuation to a predetermined upwind location <br /> where a headcount shall be taken. Repeated short blasts shall be used to signity <br /> immedlote evacuation to the exclusion zone border where a headcount shall be <br /> taken and further instructions are given. <br /> B. EMERGENCY EQUIPMENT: <br /> this equipment shall be mode available a1 the work site at all times. <br /> 1. fire extinguishers- (dry chemical/nhc) <br /> 2. First aid kits <br /> 3. CGA and oxygen meters <br /> 4. Indicator tubes- (Draegar) <br /> G. GENERAI EMERGENCY PROCEDURES: <br /> 1. In case of an emergency or hazardous situatium the worker that observes this <br /> condition must Immediately sound the alarm. <br /> 2. Upon hearing the alarm, all non-emergency communications wilt cease and the <br /> observer shall proceed to give all Im0nent intonnalion to I"site safety otticer. <br /> J. Actions to be taken will be dictated by the emergency condition. <br /> 4. All power equipment shall be shut down. <br /> 5. Injured personnel will be transported to the contamination reduction line. <br /> 6. The Safety Engineer shall be immediately notified. <br /> 7. Personnel shall stay at the sate locations until the area is secured. <br />
