13. SEALING VERTICAL PIPE RISERS LOCATED OUTSIDE A CONTAINMENT SUMP <br /> OR STANDPIPE. (This includes monitor riser ) <br /> a. All pipe risers shall be tightly wrapped from the top of the tank, up the tank <br /> nozzle, and up the pipe at least 6" with a half-lapped strip of fiberglass <br /> mat. See Fissure 13. <br /> b. FIELD INSTALLATION OF FIBERGLASS MONITOR PIPE <br /> a. Release vacuum in annular space by opening vacuum gage manifold valve. <br /> b. Remove entire vacuum gage manifold from the tank by twisting and pulling <br /> the manifold by hand. The manifold is not threaded into the coupling, but <br /> is simply seated with silicone seal. <br /> C. Clean all silicone residue from the inside of the coupling by scraping and <br /> sanding. <br /> d. Install the 2" fiberglass pipe into the coupling using instructions and <br /> materials included in the adhesive kit. <br /> e.
