Steve indicated that he had taken <br /> samples prior to my arrival but would resample the area to provide zero lines. Samples will be collected <br /> at 12.5 feet in order to investigate contamination that was documented associated with BX-3, 12.5 feet----? <br /> 170 ppm TPH-gasoline. Slight Toluene contamination associated with BX-6 which is west of the sample <br /> which will be collected first. <br /> Warren Gomes Jr. is operating the excavator <br /> Neil is running the loader <br /> The first sample collected was designated X-1. X-1 was sampled at 13 feet. Sample was collected at <br /> approximately 1:25 p.m. <br /> A new chain of custody will begin. Any additional samples will receive that designation X, then the <br /> sample number <br /> X-2 collected 36 feet south of X-1 at 13 feet <br /> X-3 collected 34 feet south of X-2 at 14 feet <br /> X-3 will be the southern most sample collected <br /> Jim Wilson, Warren Gomes of Excavating, Inc. is the supervisor <br /> His crew consists of four people at the present time, five including himself. <br /> Loader Operator is Neil Adams <br /> Dump Truck Operator is Don Duschane <br /> The Excavator Operator is Warren Gomes Jr. <br /> Troy (new employee) <br /> Discussed sample analyses with Gary Jaegers Mobile Chem Laboratories, Inc. out of Martinez, California. <br /> Utilizing 8020 purge and trap methodology using methanol as an extractant. He will provide QA/QC data <br /> results. Laboratory set up looks adequate. <br /> Soil from March 15, 1993 excavation is being stockpiled on the western fence boundary <br /> Asphalt stored 300 feet east of the western fence boundary <br /> In between the asphalt stockpiles there is some mounded soil piles which Steve Furnas is unclear as to <br /> how it got there and will contact the plant manager to get further details. Determined to be from <br /> demolition. <br /> Union Ice Plant manager Larry Titsworth discussed a referral for Ford Construction,Duane Sanders out <br /> of Lodi California, floating treated logs in Mormon Slough. Referral made to Pam Violett of Unit III; <br /> PHS/EHD. <br /> X4 was collected 20 feet west of X-3 sampled depth 12.5 feet <br /> X-5 was collected 20 feet west of X-1 sampled depth 13 feet <br />
