Union Ice Company - Weher Street
Phase II-Report of Findings
Page 7
Since there is only one monitor well that is screened in the Sand 2 aquifer, we do not
know a gradient direction for it.
AQUIFER PROPERTIES
A 12 hour pump test was conducted at Monitor Well EX-8 on March 2, 1991. The well
was pumped at a constant discharge of 4.16 gPm for 12 hours. Discharged waters were
stored in a 10,000 gallon swing tank on site.
Water levels were monitored at two minute intervals for the
first
10te intervals minutes of the te60
five minute intervals from 10 to 60 minutes into the test;
to 120 minutes into the test, 20 minute intervals from 120 to d160 minute intervals from
30 minute intervals froinutes into the test;
m 180 to 240 minutes into the test, an
very
240 to 720 minutes into the test. This sequence was as P turnedted off. hile nla
were monitored for 1 hours after the pump ro arty.
intervals were observed for the observation wells on the p l)e
The results of the pump test were analyzed graphically using the Thies time -
Jacob straight line, time - drawdown (log - semtlog) and Jacob
drawdown (log - ), _ semilo methods. The graphical solutions are
straight line, residual drawdown (loco, g)
presented in Appendix C.
